Lenzr Ltd
Lenzr Mobile Application
Role: Product Manager
Project Overview
Lenzr is a mobile application designed to help users transform their digital photos into physical products such as printed photographs, custom photo gifts, and official passport photos. The platform simplifies the process of converting everyday digital images into tangible keepsakes while also offering convenient tools for users who need compliant passport photos.
The product was designed to address the growing demand for easy-to-use mobile tools that bridge the gap between digital photography and physical printing services.
Problem
Despite the large number of photos stored on smartphones, most users rarely convert their digital photos into physical prints or personalised products. Existing printing services often involve complicated processes, poor user experience, or require users to visit physical stores.
Additionally, obtaining passport photos often requires visiting photo studios, which can be inconvenient and time consuming.
The challenge was to design a mobile experience that allows users to:
- Easily upload and edit their photos
- Convert photos into printable products
- Generate compliant passport photos
- Order prints directly from their mobile devices
Product Vision
The vision for Lenzr was to create a simple mobile platform that enables users to transform their digital memories into physical products within minutes.
The product aimed to provide a seamless experience from photo upload to product order, reducing friction in the user journey and encouraging repeat engagement.
My Role
I worked closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to guide product development and ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.
My responsibilities included:
• Defining product roadmap and priorities
• Leading product discovery and user feedback analysis
• Identifying user experience issues and improvement opportunities
• Managing product backlog and sprint planning
• Collaborating with design and engineering teams on feature delivery
Product Strategy
To improve adoption and engagement, we focused on reducing friction during the onboarding and ordering processes.
The strategy involved:
• Simplifying the onboarding experience
• Improving navigation across product categories
• Reducing the number of steps required to complete an order
• Testing product improvements through experimentation and A/B testing
Key Feature
Key Product Decisions
One of the most critical decisions was redesigning the onboarding experience. Initial user analysis showed that many users abandoned the app shortly after installation due to confusion around available features.
We simplified the onboarding flow and introduced clearer product categories to guide users toward their desired actions.
Another key decision involved implementing A/B testing for onboarding improvements, allowing us to validate changes based on real user behaviour rather than assumptions.
Results and Impact
The redesigned onboarding experience significantly improved user engagement.
Key Outcomes Included:
- 15 percent increase in user retention
- Improved user activation during the first app session
- Higher completion rates for photo product orders
